SEVENTEEN HIGHER EDUCATION COURSES APPROVED FOR AUTOMATIC TRANSFER

 Kansas Board of Regents Approves Courses for Seamless Transfer Between Public Institutions

(TOPEKA) – Today the Kansas Board of Regents approved seventeen general education college courses that will transfer among the 32 public higher education institutions. (A list of approved courses is provided below.) Depending on the credit hours taken and awarded, students may transfer 55 to 59 credit hours.

“The action today supports the ongoing mission of the Board to make public higher education accessible to students through the development and support of a seamless higher education system,” said Ed McKechnie of Arcadia, Chair of the Kansas Board of Regents. “The difficulty of students to easily transfer credit hours has been a barrier to some in achieving their higher education goals. Students that take one of the courses approved today can rest easy knowing their credit will transfer between any of the state’s public community colleges, technical colleges and universities.”

“The Board is looking out for students and their families,” said Fred Logan of Leawood, a Regent and member of the Board’s Transfer and Articulation Advisory Council. “Making sure courses transfer across the system, seamlessly, is a great way to improve quality, keeps educational costs to a minimum for students and families, and creates extraordinary value in the Kansas public higher education system.”
