Board Academic Affairs Standing Committee

The Kansas Board of Regents Academic Affairs Standing Committee was established in 2002.  The Committee is responsible for overseeing issues that further the academic mission of system institutions, including review and approval of university degree programs, credit for prior learning, qualified admissions, transfer and reverse transfer, systemwide general education, performance agreements, and regulation of private and out-of-state institutions . Membership Includes:

BAASC meets by conference call approximately two weeks prior to each Board meeting and prior to the Board Chair's conference call to finalize items for the Board agenda. The Committee also meets in person the morning of the first day of the monthly Board meeting.

The Board Academic Affairs Standing Committee meetings are public, and notice will be given in accordance with the Kansas Open Meetings Act (KSA 75-4317 through 75-4320a).
